H013 Maximilian Helmet

Maximilian when used with armour is
used to denote the strengthening of armour
by  parallel lines of fluting and is a
style which was popular in the period from
1500 to 1540. The terminology results from
the fact that the style was a favorite
of the emperor Maximilian I (1459-1519).
The "Maximilian" style of close helmet
normally has a pronounced globular skull
and after 1515 it often has a
low roped comb.

Our version is made of 18 guage (1.2mm)
mild steel and is in high polish finish.
